Recommendation for Hotel and Nice dinner in Carmel, CA

Nothing beats enjoying a fine cigar and a drink on the outside patio while the bagpipers are out there.

Thanks for the breakfast recommendation!! I didn't even think of leaving the hotel for breakfast....that should maximize the short time I have there!!

I stayed there when I played Pebble Beach about a year ago. I won it as a prize at my companies Christmas Party. It was awesome, but Im sure we had the crappiest room there, which was still really, really nice. We had a lovely view of some tree trunks and a muddy patch of grass and it was $540 a night.

Wanted to bump! and thank everyone for the awesome recs for food and activities in CA. I wound up at Fish Grotto on fisherman's wharf, since I know someone will ask that question. I wasn't able to make the time I wanted up PCH, and got rerouted due to the wildfires in the area. But we stayed in a very nice little hotel, Alton Inn in Monterey, and had a great time. We saw the sights in San Fran, had dinner with a friend in San Jose, and came back to LA in time for the wedding I went to attend in the first place.

I guess the only thing left to say is how much I wish I was driving my one on those gorgeous roads (there was one drive out to Morro Bay that had me wishing for the one). In fact, I got home last night around 11pm, EST, and had to move some cars around in the driveway, which turned into a scenic drive around the block to say 'hello' to the one again :wub:

Forgot to mention.....saw a camo'd 7-series coming southbound on PCH when I was northbound. Was closer to LA, maybe up to Venture. Would have pulled a U and snapped some pics, but I had the whole fam with me, and they do not understand the addiction I have. :eyebulge:
