1Addicts seems to be best game in town

My wife stumbled onto this site a while ago, and I haven't really sought out another 1 series forum. Just out of curiousity I did a search for other 1 series forums. There are actually quite a few. But they are all in some state of death, dying or dead. Most of the posts stopped at April 08.

Are there so few of us that we can only support one forum? Or is 1 addicts just that good?:biggrin:

you forgot to mention that we're also not at each other's throats ready to flame away as on every other bmw forum (or any car forum in general come to think of it). i feel like i'm part of one big happy 1er family :-)

all that is true but i bet they died because once they got there cars most did not go to the fourm so much because they were driving there 1's...i noticed that when people here got there 1's the site kinda slowed but not extremly slow

No kidding asking question is damn near forbidden. I dont even really like being on e90 forums as an owner... people take themselves far to seriously

This is one of the better forums and not just for 1ers or BMWs. For some reason, we have a pretty friendly group in this forum; something that is becoming rare these days.

I agree - the crowd here is very friendly as well as very well articulated, which is a rarity! I think that simple fact makes this forum a great deal more enjoyable to peruse through.

I almost feel a sense of camaraderie with the other owners on here, you can really ask any question with out the worry of getting flamed. The worst you'll get is a

I'm sad to say that it probably wont last for too long though.
As the 1er becomes more main stream, and people begin to pick them up for cheap, I think the level of respect and quality of conversation is going to take a big hit.

I joined this site because everyone here is respectful and the information is great. In the early days I would search the main BMW forums for the latest information and rumors about the 1. I found that it waas usually a link or citation of a thread or pic here at 1addicts. Decided to stop wasting time going to the other forums first and made 1addicts my first stop.

I probably would have lost some interest since getting my car but this is just a good group and it makes it enjoyable to learn new things. I give credit to the moderators for maintaining the right tone.
