Car keyed...

So I got out to my car this morning and found scratch marks about a foot long on both the driver and passenger side on the rear panels. Always have been puzzled why people feel they need to make such a dick move.

I'm going to try and polish out what I can after work, but the scratches seem pretty deep....pics coming soon.

what a suck! i just don't get why people do shit like that

fwiw i had a huge loogey on my window after a dmb concert last week...guess i should consider myself lucky that it wasn't worse

Are you going to cut polish it? Keys don't go too deep sometimes, unless it's really malicious..

Sorry about that man. Your insurance may cover that under comprehensive and it wont go against you if it is under 1000 to repair. Probably some punk little shit kids. Did you recently piss off a girl?

thanks for the support everyone, it really is frustrating when we care so much about our cars.

BlackjackMulligan - thanks for the offer, but looking at it more, it looks like the scratch is too deep to polish (there's paint chipping up on the sides).

i've got an appointment with my insurance agent for tomorrow to get their estimate. after that, i'll be in a better position to decide if the panels are going to be repainted.
