Inovice Price 135

So the time has come for me to actually buy the 135i - I went to test drive and price out a 135 at my local dealer and this is what we came up with; ' 08 135i coupe, jet black, premium pkg, premium audio = 48,000 (MSRP)

Just wanted to know what the invoice price (for Canada) was so I know what kind of room I have to play with. If anyone could let me know what prices they are getting in the GTA that would be fantastic (ya I know options make a difference but, a general idea would be very helpful).

Thanks

Congrats on your finally pulling the trigger... I can tell you that I got a 3% discount on MSRP which is the most that I've heard of especially in Alberta.

Unfortunately, I would say that in Toronto you are probably going to get jammed a bit, as dealers don't necessarily have to discount the 1 because of the high demand.

I would shoot for 3% and accept 2% and call it a day.

I am curious to how it turns out, so keep us posted... FYI I know that you can get a better deal in Missassauga than you can in TO or Oakville or something... as they have higher volume. I used to live there, good luck!

Thanks for the info - when you say MSRP does that include options? also do you ask for the mats and wheel locks to be included too?

Yeah, that is what I was refering to... so technically the more options you order the larger the discount , which is how I like to think about it... hahah

I had to pay extra for ruberized mats, wheel locks and some other stuff. (winter kit is what they called it), just pulled out my invoice and it was $279.95.. The pricing below is straight from my invoice.

MSRP OPTIONS
UC73 - 135i Coupe - $41,700
ZAE - Navigation (12/07) - $2,900
ZAK - Premium Package - $3,500
ZAM - M Sport Package - $1,600
ZAH - Premium Sound - $1,200
322 - Comfort access - $750
ZSP - Special Order - $400 (substituted the shadowline for aluminium trim)
TR - Aluminum Shadowline Trim - $0.00

Total MSRP - $52,050

LESS: DISCOUNT ($1,562)

Subtotal - $50,488

Dealer Options
Freight & PDI - $1,995
Admin - $395 (god knows what this is)
Tire tax - $20
Air condition tax - $100
Winter Care Kit - $279.95
Fuel - no charge (wow... thanks!)
GST - $2,664

ALL IN - $55,941 (ouch!)

Thanks for the info and the congrats guys - however, it's going to come down to price - I'm really hoping that I get at least 2% off the MSRP - if not I might be looking at getting into a G37S. But I'm sure we (SA and myself) can work something out. I know the 1 is a "hot" car now but I'm a bit irked that year end cars don't have any specials on them.

VFX - where are you getting those prices and how come when I price out the car, it comes out to 48,000 - maybe because you're in BC?

Hi excel,

I got the prices from www.carcostcanada.com

You pay $30 & get 5 'invoice' prices.

I priced up a 128i (see my 128i thread http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13464) , a 135i and a Cooper S so far.

All pretty much gave a profit margin of between 6.5% & 8%

I'm not 100% sure how accurate they are but I'm sure they make a good guide.

You won't be able to get any year end deals because the demand far exceeds the supply. It's not like you can go to a dealer and choose from 10 cars sitting on the lot.

Maybe it's because we have 4 BMW dealers in Vancouver, but there's 4 cars in stock which match my specs & another 4 or 5 which are fairly close.

Between the 3 of the 4 dealers, I'm seeing an average discount around the $2k mark.

Is it because I'm shopping for a 128i rather than a 135i I wonder?

Are there any 135s in stock or are they all 128s?

Still working on the deal - I think I'll be able to swing about a 3.5% discount...or at least 3% then have some things thrown in - fingers crossed.

Also, is it just me or is it really true that you don't see many 1's on the road (at least in TO). I've seen 2 128s (coupe and convert) but no 135's?

No, I have seen a ton of them. By last count at least a dozen. Parked next to a black 135i vert just yesterday.

I just agreed to a 3.5% discount from MSRP along with $350 of accessories added in with labor for install included for a 2009 135i Coupe. Delivery by mid- October 2008.

Agree to a percentage discount not dollars if ordering since there may be a price increase and you still get the difference.

About a $1,900 net discount off a $40,750 MSRP or about 4.7% net discount.

Maybe I should have waited until the end of the sales month to get an even better deal...not!

Wait broke the wagon.

That's sounds like a pretty good deal, although it isn't that comparable to what we are dealing with here in Canada. Economy differences and such (Calgary is hot as hell, and florida is in the sewer :wink. Sorry, just had to crack on the neighbours to the south

Congrats on the purchase, I am jealous of the discount! Make sure to put up pictures!

edmonton bmw

just ordered an 09 with just the m sport pkg.
got $900 of msrp which is 2% discount.
i think that's not bad considering it's a lightly optioned car.

it's funny, i was just passing through and decided to test drive a 135i since only finding out about the enormous performance of the car yesterday.

ended up sealing the deal in 10 minutes. if they can tell you're serious, they'll deal a little.

my salesman was Branco, a fellow ex-ontarian.

BTW, if anyone is looking to purchase the winter mats, don't get them with the car for $280. You can order them from Dan at United for about half price with the shipping.
