New bmw performance steering wheel (iaa content)

i think i love it!
bmw salesman said that the price will be around 600$.
so it`s way cheaper than the other one.
dunno when it`s gonna be released.

Flat bottom is sweet, very functional for ingress/egress. Although, it can be quite weird when turning lock to lock or a sharp turn. MY TT had one.

Wouldn't pay for this one over the M-Sport I have, but it's cool. If you have a non-sport 1 series, this could be your ticket. I like this better than the performance one with the readout in the top.

Thats really nice. And its the same price as the standard M wheel.

Cant wait until I get mine replaced. I might have to go with this.

I love the new wheel. I got some pics while I was there and I talked to the salesman chick too and she told me it was going to be 500 euro and was available(but was probably lost in translation). I am not sure if they are going to release it in the states or not. If they don't I would consider paying for it on the economy. If they do bring it to the states then it would be more like 500 Dollars which is about 240 dollars cheaper. Does anyone know of the availability for this as I can't even find it on the BMW.de website.

What is the reasoning behind it having the bottom square?

less radius so to speak. With the bottom square, you can turn the wheel without worrying about it hitting your legs.

style

What I think would be ideal would be a steering wheel with the display at the top + shift lights and no alcantara on the circumference, just the inner panel where it has the buttons for the phone, etc.

I have the performance steering wheel with the functions and it rocks, but the alcantara is going to wear down fast. so that's the only thing I'd change.
