SGM: coral red or terra?

I ordered a 135i...SGM with Coral Red interior (sight unseen)... Have any of you seen this combination? I hope the red isn't overpowering....I am assuming that the combination goes or BMW would have rejected it. They rejected my trim choice of walnut wood.... made me go with gray poplar. The photos of the terra interior look appealing to me... need input...

i am a huge fan of coral, so i think most color will look good with it. Maybe not the blues

I could have gone either way, but my current car has a red interior (the vette) and I wanted a change, so I'm going with Terra.

Still has the nice two-tone look, but not too in-your-face.

I went with SGM + Coral too. I managed to sit in a space gray + coral 335, and it was really nice. Coral red has a nice balance, its not overpowering like other red leather interiors I've been exposed too in the past.

Not to be rude, but what were you thinking putting Walnut trim with Coral Red? It's good to know they have safeguards in place to ensure combinations like that don't happen.

But as far as SGM with Coral Red: I think that's a spot-on combination! :w00t:

I think...
SGM with Coral = Sporty
SGM with Terra = Classy

You can order Terra through the dealer?

Sorry for my noobness. Does it cost any more than the other leathers?

No additional cost.
Ask the dealer for the priority 1 options...it's available

Though he's rude , I'd have to agree on the Walnut combo thoughts. The combo you ordered sounds much better; coral is a beautiful color (almost as good as lemon). You'll be happy with it.

What trim did you get? I saw the thread on glacier trim and now i'm second guessing myself. What else goes good with coral red?

Gloss black would go very nicely with Coral Red.

I'm getting gloss black, although I will probably replace it with brushed aluminum at some point later, since we can't order it with the car in the US.

Not a fan of red interiors, but everyone is entitled their opinions and tastes. One point against red is that it might be harder to sell.

Yep..those are my choices too should I go with SGM (unless it's Taupe Leatherette that is!) I agree with your comparision of the two....but what if....Cashmere Silver...then it'd be Black Leatherette..but what if Titanium Silver or Alpine White, or Crimson Red with Black Leatherette???:iono:

By the time I convince my better half it's time to buy, perhaps I'll have figured out the color issue..everything else is a no-brainer to me...sport package, bi-xenons, heated seats, grey poplar wood (if available).

Hopefully, when I can see some "1's" in person, the color options will be more clear....

My choice would be SGM with Terra, but the Coral is nice too. You almost can't go wrong. SGM is very neutral, as most greys tend to be. And I agree with TP's sporty vs. classy characterization... I'd have chosen either piano black or poplar grey trim to go with your leather and paint combo...
