After it settles in a few days, would you take a measurement from the fender lip to the center of the centercap? That looks pretty low.

Can you adjust the height (like raise it up half a inch)? It looks kind of too low to me and worry about the tire will rub during turns.

Come check it out at one of the Cerritos meets anytime! +1 After my alignment is done next week (waiting for it to settle in a bit), I'm going to probably raise it up by about 1/2". Quote:
Thanks Eric! It turned out great! Looking forward to doing business with you again in the future!

This is true...I'll have to watch that exit out on to South St. leaving the Cerritos meet.

Out of the box, but I plan to raise it slightly after I have my alignment done. Anyone have a DIY on aligning?

Just a tip, set your ride height where you want it before the alignment. Otherwise, you will need another alignment. It seems a common measurement for lowering is about 12.5" from the lip to the hub center. I am at 12 5/8. I like the height that I am at because you can definitely tell it is lowered and yet it is not too low. I haven't scraped anything yet....well, except where my wheel fitment is off in the back

Dont you think that there is more than a 2" deviation between the height of most cars headlights and the way they are aimed? Maybe you immediately got in front of a car that had brighter than normal lights and you hadnt adjusted your mirror yet. I just think if you drew out the angles of headlights to your mirrors, you would see that the drop you did to your car would have very little effect of the brightness of the lights behind or in front of you.

All gravy friend. It's those gosh darn trucks that are raised up; some stock height trucks and SUVs. Normally, they didn't bother me THAT much, but since being lowered, it's right in my eyes.

wow thats one of the prettiest looking 1 series ive ever seen.
kw are definitely nice suspension. i would of opted for the TC Kline, as I think their suspension is just a bit better ( i prefer the koni valve specific shocks as well as the ability to swap out different spring rates)., but KW are definitely nice for a DD and once in a while track appearance. look into Swift Springs as alot of guys that have KWs are getting into in the e90 scene. i would definitely raise the car just a bit, especially before you get an alignment. Also get a corner balance done, to really fine tune the weight balance of the car. i'd go to Toan@RennSpec or AutoTalent - they are really good in your area. Tell Toan that Preeth sent you. have you considered a front sway bar? that will REALLY sharpen things up as well. i also saw that you were interested in weight savings. DITCH those heavy seats and get some fixed back seats. don't fall into the hype and exclusively get recaro. sit in as many seats as you can before u make a decision. i rushed into recaros, and had to live w/that decision for 2 years, until i recently moved into Cobra Suzuka Pros. If you want to take a drive, SubeSports in San Diego is one of the 2 official Cobra retailers in the USA. They should have all their products in stock. The seats alone should yield a good 80 lbs (if you have electric/heated seats). love the car, and good luck w/the suspension!

i just got my kw v2's in and have the same ride height... i'm surprised that people here say it's too low... the ride height is perfect, it doesn't rub or bottom out, and the wheels aren't tucked too much.

True it isn't rubbing on anything, it is scraping on some slopes. I'm going to raise up by about an 1/2" to 1".
