Edwin when are you coming out to WSID with the 3 series
21.3 isn't too bad. At least you crossed the finish line.

Hopefully in about a month. I'll have to see if this 335i will hit 200wkw this Saturday first.

Haha yeah Steve I did. About 3 weeks ago. Decided to take the plunge and get the 6MT. Now we can both have the same launching issues together!

I think Thony put it there.

Anyway more importantly how did you and Thony go last night at WSID? How was the MT on the strip? Now you just have to race Steve (Gumball).
It went pretty ok surprisingly. I thought I'd do horribly bad. We got in 4 runs in total before it was 10pm. It was a really busy night up until the burnouts *sigh*.

First run - 13.522 @ 113.48mph, 2.402 60ft
Second run - 13.605 @ 114.4mph, 2.569 60ft
Third run - 13.033 @ 118.92mph, 2.134 60ft
Fourth run - 14.498 @ 103.18mph, 2.668 60ft

First couple runs I got heaps of wheelspin in first hence the poor 60fts.

I definitely did better on the third but I don't really know why . I was pretty surprised I managed to get that time actually. I even logged a 4.08s 0-100kph time on the P3 vent guage.

Last run I just messed it all up... Disengaged the clutch halfway through the launch, missed third, poor shifts in generally.

Overall...I need more practice. Not just with trying to launch at the strip but driving manual in general haha. This is my first manual car . I'm losing too much time with the launch but also with each shift.

I'm not going to like Thony. That was pretty hilarious to watch from behind.

You haven't put all your mods onto the car yet?

Not yet. Just the main thing, JB4

It just feels so silky smooth and quiet that I just wanna enjoy it for a little longer before I ruin it.

BTW that third run trap speed is really amazing. Well done Alex.

I think I understand now the lure of a less modified (and auto) car. Now that I've been driving around in this all the time, when I get into the E88 it's just so relaxing

Thanks! I was pretty surprised I managed to get a run down that well on my first go. I hadn't driven the car hard up until last night. My trap speeds are kind of varying a fair bit though so I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my inconsistent shifting.

Installed a Mr5 intake today! We'll see if it's made any difference at all on Saturday haha. I need to get around to taking off the bumper to route the intake tube into the bumper vent but that will have to wait.
