What is the service history on the car? Have the turbos been replaced? Any other significant service campaigns while it was in your possession?

Do you have the title or is there a lien on the car? Turbo issues or HPFP?

The turbos have not been replaced. I have not had any issues with them ever. I was also fortunate not to be one of the poor N54 owners that had a faulty HPFP.

I recently had the 60k mile service done and replaced the water pump (which failed). In the past year or two, I also replaced the fuel injectors.

I don't have copies of all of the service records but BMW of Austin does, of course, as all work has been done there.

I own the car (no lien) and it has a clear title.

Very tempting. I'm going to search locally for another week or so, but if this is still available I might have to make my way to Texas.

Thanks for the bumps, guys. I've got the car listed on Autotrader for $16.5. Would prefer to put it in the hands of someone that will appreciate it here.

Socalturbo PM me if you get serious. I currently have an interested buyer that I plan to sell to and a couple other people that are interested. If things don't work out with the first person that approached me, I will work my way down the list.

I have obtained the detailed service history from BMW of Austin. I can answer more specific questions now if you have any.

Also, I got confirmation from the dealership where I'm purchasing an M2 that the release date will be as expected: i.e., mid-April. So it looks like I'm going to need to hang on to the car for about another month.

The first potential buyer that reached out to me has indicated that they are flexible and willing to wait. And, as mentioned before, if the initial deal doesn't work out, I will follow through in order of PMs received.

Thanks.

The car is not sold yet. I have a list of people that I will work my way down once my M2 comes in (expecting 4/16 as it is an HEA car sitting at the port in Galveston).

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you are interested.

Thanks.

Hey guys, just got a letter in the mail from BMW AG indicating that there is a recall on the driver's front air bag module (see attachment). The letter says that parts are not currently available and will send a follow up letter once they do become available. The good news is that the work will be done at no charge and is transferable to a future owner. See the attachment for details.

Honestly, I think this is wonderful news to get a brand new air bag assembly at no cost.

Not trying to put spin on it. They have a problem and they are correcting it for free. This is great news for an eight year old car. Thanks for the bump.

No shit they're correcting it, it's a MASSIVE liability for BMW to have airbag inflaters that can fill your legs with shrapnel lol.

Roughly 10. I have had quite a bit of communication with a few of them (i.e., more than passive interest). I'm still approximately three weeks out from having my replacement in hand so I'm sure that could change between now and then.

@all

Just wanted to give an update here. Thanks for the continued interest in my car. I just spoke to the Sales Manager at my dealership and they confirmed that my M2 will be released from the port on 4/10 and available for delivery on 4/16. So we are about a week and a half out.

I still have a list of interested parties and am currently working with an individual on lining up the details. Should that deal fall through, as mentioned, I will work my way down the list.

I will continue to update this thread as I know more.

Thanks.
