Leather Seat Creasing

I just bought my second 135i (I had a 2 year lease on a 2009 and loved it so much I just replaced it with a lightly used 2010). The car is in excellent condition... with one exception: it has a pretty significant crease in the leather of the seat bottom. It basically looks like a crease created from the leather stretching from the weight and pressure from ones... ahem... posterior.

Has anyone else experienced this on their 1 series seats? If so, is it just the reality of a natural material like leather? Is there any way to get the leather back in shape? I have/have had many cars (e.g. Porsches, BMWs, Land Rovers etc.) with leather seats and haven't experienced this type of problem.

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Thanks!

Jordan

maybe the previous owner had a big ass!

overall this is expected of leather----as it is natural and creases/wrinkles are bound to happen. you may be able to reduce the creasing by using some good conditioner like made by 'Leathermaster'. if you are really worried about it there are repair kits available that can 'fill in' creases and then you have to paint on top of it to cover the filler. I have never tried these but I know people who have and they seem to work.

I tend to appreciate natural creases in leather if they happen....as it adds some natural patina to leather.

I use This every 6 months. I first clean with Leather Cleaner and then apply this and then apply Leather Sealant.

If its a little too pricy, you can also find some alternatives with close similarities to this. Contact Mr. Dominic Scheer @ dom@scheerdetailing.com scheerdetailing.com for all of your swissvax orders inside of the USA.
