My vote is no badges also. The fact that others know or do not know what model I am driving is of absolutley no importance to me. The car simply looks better without them. If the car looked better without the BMW logo, I would take that off too.
And I should add that I really like the way your car looks. Last edited by malapane; 04-20-2009 at 04:24 PM.. |

Debadged my 128! So much cleaner of a look! And did NOT do it so they think its a 35! But do think others are trying to race me more. Also most non bmw owners/car enthusiasts dont know the difference, its just a fast looking bimmer.
Makes em take a second and third look! You can see it in their eyes.."what's that?" Guess my plate gives it away tho! I also think the 1 looks better debadged than some other bmw's. Have no desire to debadge my 325xi. Last edited by Midgad; 04-20-2009 at 07:21 PM.. |

Debadged I think its way cleaner, and who cares if people think its a 128 or 135 worst case you'll have some idiot try to race you and you'll burn them and feel bad and have to slow down to see them in your rear view...whats better than that?

It's better off and would also be better in black. I did matte black and they look great - see the DIY thread on it.

I think the carbon mirrors stick out like a sore thumb... the whole silver/red thing is going well for your car

I'd definitely debadge. Then the front is tough to decide, just like with me and BSM. I think I'd go with carbon fiber kidneys surrounds with matte black fins. Not sure though, I like alot this way too.
You caused me to go research Zaino..lol. I'm sure I'll at least order some clay bars. |

I've been using Zaino on my car since I bought it in June of last year. it's very good stuff and as you can see, it holds up really well.
and that's saying alot when you live in FL where the sunshine is very brutal on paint jobs. (especially black and red)
