Something weird is happening.
i dont have factory alarm, or the alarm, let me start off with that. Usually when i lock my car i press the BMW logo twice so the lights come on to tell me that its locked. The past two days i tap the button lightly and it double locks (like does what happens when i usually press twice) all the doors lock and the lights come on? why is this happening? has this happend to anyone else?

You can program the car to perform different funtions according to your particular wants. Did you get a recent software update? Could have reset things them. Check your owners manual and you'll see there's lots of cool things you can set up to your liking.

I press once on the remote to lock the doors and provided the boot lid is closed as well, the lights flash to indicate the doors are locked, even though the l9ocking mechanism is quite audible anyway. I have always only needed to press once on the remote to lock the doors and have the lights flash. Perhaps you have been pressing twice unneccessarily. Is that possible? Cheers.

I normally press twice as 325 Baller is saying....
I will see if it flashes when only pressing once. I was PRETTY sure it had to be pressed twice for the flash to happen. |

ya no your "supposed" to press twice to flash/lock all doors, but for some reason i do it once, and it locks all doors and flashes. should i goto the dealer and ask, i dont really think they would know/listen to a 17 year old kid.

If it was a honda, I'd say disconnect the battery and let the system reset itself.

hmm strange, every e90 i've encountered locked all doors and flashed once upon pressing the bmw button once. if u click on it the second time, the interior lights and door handle leds will come on for a while. i believe this is normal and i kinda remember reading it in the owner's manual.

All doors lock and everythign flashes once after I press it once. I press it again, and I hear it trying to lock it again but can't cause it's already locked. |
