For anyone that is interested, here is a link the full results - http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/re...03/2012.QR1.P3
All of us seem to be bunched together in the middle. What impresses me the most is that Richard was quicker than Adrian's beast and Karl's 1M. His only mods were M3 sway bar. Terry is also tune only. Well done, great driving This is how we ranked: Anthony E30 track car Vinney 135i N54 Michael 135i N54 John 335i N54? Terry 135i N55 DCT Richard 135i N54 Adrian 135i N54 Karl 1M N54 Phil SS Ute Anthony was the quickest but that was expected, I'm sure he would have been even closer to the top if his M3 GTR was out there. Even though I was the quickest out of the N54/N55 I wasn't very happy. I'm confident we will all run a lot quicker for Round 2. I know I will because I won't be limping across the line anymore! It's not up yet or they are not putting it up. I wanted to run my car again as I had fun in the wet but had to be back by a certain time! Also great place to learn the limitations of the car in the wet.

It would be great if we can get a decent group together. I'll post another thread closer to the time to see if there is any interest. |

All times and points for the series are now up. Does anyone know how they calculate points? Do they give points for each track setup, or only allocate them for the Clubman circuit?
Have to say, once they give out points I am suddenly eager to participate more... although, I can't because the car will be gone soon. Don't think the new car will be suitable for the track. Makes me want to buy a cheapie track car though! |

If any of you guys are interested i am selling my E30 track car. Great car to learn in and comes with plenty of spares. It is log booked to run in Improved Production and I won the 2-3 litre championship and came third in the over 2 litre championship last year. Great car to be able to take to the track and not worry so much about wrecking your daily driver. PB's are: Lakeside 1:01, qld raceway clubman 1:04 and sprint 1:01 and national 1:27. Pm me if interested.

Dont they check?
I had been told by the guys at QR that the motorbike helmets were not approved for car use - they wanted to rent me one of their own daggy ones instead.

Pretty sure for both QR and Willowbank Raceway the only requirement is that the helmet meets the AS1698 standard (which most bike helmets will).

Here's some video Karl uploaded. Very surprised this was taken with an iphone! Great quality and sound. Enjoy
Btw, first lap is warm up on both videos. The AW 135i in front of Karl is Me and Richard is leading in the BSM 135i. Karl vs RS4 I'll upload my videos shortly, it takes so long to upload the files in iMovie! Last edited by BMW86; 04-02-2012 at 05:21 PM.. |
