Pricing aside, I think the issue with a 1 hardtop is more along the lines of with the new Z4, the 1er is the only soft-top BMW has, and therefore the only vert with a decent amount of cargo room with the top down. I can't find the exact measurements, but with the top down reviewers have noted that the 1 has enough room for 2 golf bags, while the 3 barely has enough room for a "single small suitcase." Also, some people just like soft-tops

If you spec out a 335 and 135 with only the M-sport package it is over $8000. That seems like a much better deal, especially because i don't think the 335 is all that good looking. The only difference i can find is slightly larger tires, power seats and the extra lighting package.

I'd buy one and swap it into my car if they did that. The screw up on the radio display is one of the most annoying things I've ever delt with on a new car, and the fact that BMW is STILL building them that way pisses me off. It's such a simple change it's absurd. |

Storage nets on seat backs are useful. Thats where I keep my road atlas and a magazine to two for rear passengers.

On the diff betwen 335 and 135, it is 4" front seat (tiny), 2" back seat (even tinier), and the 1 has a bigger trunk on the vert models. Oh, and the 335 is slower. Oh, and the 335 is uglier. Oh, and the 335 doesn't handle as well. Oh, and the 335 is much more expensive.
Shall I name a few more "Oh" comments? Signed, a true 1Addict!

My storage nets, come with the storage package wich included the storage bin and hooks in the trunk that is missing on the US models also. I think US choice is a litle limited since they have to keep the cost down, since you pay less for the car than the rest of the world..

I'd like to see a new hood to match the new 3 series and similar head lights!
However if they do any of these changes then our cars will look very dated, same thing happened with the 3 series. I think 2011 will have big upgrades over this year. |

Why would you want that? It's kind of a tradition for BMW coupes to have frame-less front windows.

I find it funny that you think you need AWD in Chicago! Take a road trip to Canada! I love RWD cars in the winter. All you need is a good set of snow tires and a clue of how to drive in the winter! Sorry for playing with you but that's hilarious, quiet frankly any AWD BMW is a Joke! |

I haven't driven a DCT but I guess it would depend on how good a tranny it is. Look at the VW DSG. It's a killer tranny and I think it drives better than the manual, which is why I bought a DSG. If the DCT is better, people will buy it. Even if the "purists" can't see it. |
