ER Charge Pipe & Tial BOV Install Pics
Sorry for the delay boys, below are some pics from my install on Sunday. Thanks again to Vinney, Richard and Craig who all helped me. Overall it went pretty well apart from having to take a few trips to my local super cheap auto store because ER did not plug my bung and also did not send me the plastic piping and one of the big metal clamps. I also took this opportunity to clean my dci with the k&n filter kit.
In regards to sound the Tial is for sure the quietest out of the 3 choices but I really like the sound and I also like the fact that its there but does not attract unwanted attention from the authorities. One negative point of the Tial bov is the size, it is higher then the Synapse and does make for a more difficult install on our RHD cars. If you are not doing the install yourself then don't worry so much as your local shop will have the issue of making it fit. If you have any questions regarding the install or the pics just ask and ill try and answer |

Yeah mcmn, it was extremely difficult to get on. I would even say it's impossible without panel beating...
That is unless Orlin's engine was just slightly too far to the right? We are talking mm's here. Even with the panel beating, it took some heavy handed yanking to get it in place! But we'll be able to tell you if it's isolated or not this weekend when we do mine. |

Nice write up and pics Matt. The Tial BOV was a tough one to fit due to the clearance issues but Matts panel-beating skills saved the day. My Synapse BOV was an awkward fit but I didn't have the same issues. I'm also glad the T-map sensor wasn't an issue as that took me quite some time when I did it on my car. Lesson learnt for next time is to check if all the parts came in the box as a few were missing but fortunately Supercheap was just around the corner.

yeh what I would do is ask Advan, is that the place Kenny got his cp and tial installed? and see if they had the same clearance issues that we did and if any panel beating was required for his install then we will see if my engine is one of a kind lol.

Nice pics Matt. Looks awesome.
Nothing is bolt on anymore. They all say direct bolt on and it just never seems the case. Wasn't aware that you had to swipe your credit card for an activation fee with the CP. Sounds like a tune I know. |

We're meeting up at 10am to do Richards. Do your DV's come pre-installed into the CP? Also, do you have the long or short version?

haha yeh I needed my credit card to remove the tmap sensor, surprisingly I did that part in about 30 seconds and many people say its the hardest part of the install. Maybe I got lucky
