Radio Faceplate?
The BMW radio doesn't have the typical, aftermarket rectangular form like an Alpine/Kenwood/Sony/etc. Can someone educate me as to how the rounded look is accomplished? Is it just a faceplate that can be pulled off?
The reason I ask is because I might need to drill a hole in my dash around the radio ... and I'm sure as hell not doing THAT until I also have an OEM replacement piece. Any ideas? Finally, could someone with a 135i Coupe, Premium Audio, NO HD nor iDriven take a picture of their radio/dash/center console? Talking about either of these pieces: Last edited by tridens; 04-22-2009 at 09:44 AM.. |

I can have the pic for you, in about 2 months, haven't gotten my car yet, going to the dealer this weekend, if I can I'll snap a quick pic of any 135i I check out.

I have a 135i coupe with premium audio. I do not have HD, Sat radio or idrive and it looks like the radio here ( http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=206311 )
look at the post by Harold. Looking at mine I don't see much room for drilling any holes. If you are looking to get an OEM replacement piece I would talk to Dan at United BMW. |
