help: ses light / engine shake (loss of power)
hey all, today and about 3 weeks ago, while im driving i give the car a bit of gas coming out of a corner and it decides to cut power. after it cuts power, the car starts to shake upon acceleration and the turbo spools higher than normal. i.e. going 80 in 6th cruising, turbos will be at ~4psi. so my question to you guys is, what do you think is happening when i give it gas and it cuts out and starts shaking? the feeling and power eventually come back, but only after about 15 miles. when the power cuts out, an ses light comes on and then leaves after the problem leaves as well.
i really need some input as i am out of warranty and cant afford extended warranty just yet. any help at all would be appreciated! thanks. oh, and it only happened twice so far, both times scared me lol |

IIRC, you can not buy the extended warranty after your factory warranty expires. I believe they have to overlap.

are you sure your warranty wasn't extended as a result of the Nguyen v. BMW settlement? did you get the class notice?
