Any chance you have a source for the 219m wheel in gunmetal that will fit the 1?

OK, a few less subjective things to note. As for rub a dub dub, I did get one second of rubbing (only on the pass side? perhaps factory tolerance extremes, LOL) on a big highway dip. I have since had none. I looked in the wheel well and on the tire, and it looked like it was pretty high up on the inside lip. Perhaps a rear camber adjustment will solve the issue.
Now for a brief tire review of the R1R's. They are not narrow as some T1R owners suggested. The side walls corners are close to square with only a slight taper inward, this can be seen from the rear shots looking down the side (observe the aggressive fitment while completely within the wheel wells). They are aired up to 40psi, 45psi (f,r) to protect the wheels as best as possible here in NJ. They feel sticky as hell to the touch, and seem to pick up a lot of rocks and road debris and toss them into the wheel well. The ride is better than I expected, some said that max performance tires will ride marginally better than run flats, this is not the case. They are a little noisy (which supprised me a little), but that does not bother me at all. All said I really like to set up so far, and will post another review once they have been on the car for a while. |
