Guys I am working on putting a kit together for 1, 3, 5, series with iDrive

For now it will be a kit only with a rear view camera, with a possibility to expand it to a front view camera, night vision and a video streaming form iPod or iPhone while driving.

There will be two different kits for 2006-2008 and 2009+ models.

I should get my samples by the end of the week, so I'll post some more information soon.

Update:

I got my sample today (just the rear view camera) and so far it looks pretty good ...

I am still waiting to get BMW interface for my car that should be here in a few days.

I'll try to find an owner of 135i or 128i here locally to test it out ...

any 1 series to test it on yet? i would assume there would be no problem with installing this on a 2011 1 series as the idrive should be the same right?

What is the brand of camera you used for this install. I am currently in the market for one to add to my 128 that mounts from the license plate light like you have. I have an aftermarket pioneer radio. Thx!

There is a DIY on the e90 forum (search "DIY: $130 Rear View Camera with OEM integration"), but I haven't seen anyone do this on an e8x.
