Just had HPFP replace - Right Part Number?
Just at my HPFP replaced on my 2009 BMW 135i with about 20k miles. One morning it started but the 1/2 engine light came on so I put it back in the garage and called the dealer. They told me to start it again and see if it 'cleared out'. When I started it again, it ran very rough, jerky idle etc. until the service engine soon light came on, then it smoothed out. I didn't drive it, and waited for an appointment.
The part number on the sheet is 13-51-7-613-933 - but that's not that newest pump is it? Thanks. -Joe |

I would not worry about part #'s. In my humble opinion, they are all the same. Until someone gets a hold of ALL the pumps, "cuts" them open to reveille in inter workings. Everything else is rubbish.
I wouldn't loose sleep over the pumps. BMW is replacing these puppies for the next 12yrs/100,000miles.

Call your SA and ask them if the pump is a 446. That is the pump that works!

Talked with the SA and one of the mechanics. They claim that the 933 pump and the 446 are identical. BMW uses the two part numbers to differentiate between recall work (456) and non-recall work (933).

Just had my recall work done. I got the 446 pump.
I hope to god this one is OK. I didn't have any issues with my original pump after 27K miles. Going to be torqued if all of the sudden I have a failure. |
