Having a BOV its not the same as just canceling the DV
That isnt true, on some cars that come with DVs you have to keep them because there is a MAF sensor that will get bad readings w/o the recirculated air. On our car you are fine with either DVs or a BOV. Please explain to me how having the DVs vent to atmosphere is any different than a BOV venting to atmosphere? And BOVs like the Helix and AWE tuning are direct bolt on to where the stock DVs sit so they act the same.

You are not "canceling" the DVs that gives the impression that you are taking them off and just plugging the hole which could cause compressor surge since there is no way to vent the pressure. However all I am doing is venting the pressure to the atmosphere instead of the intake.

Oh i misreaded then, I tought you cancelled the DV and were "venting" the air all the way back to the intake... sorry mate. Indeed, nothing wrong with that.

I suggest you guys do some research on BOV and DDV setups. FYI, there are no ill effects in running either setup on our car.
