The front splitters look like they also form part of the brake ducting funnel. :iono:

I am guessing now that the accessories are out. There will be different body kits coming along at cheaper prices. I like the Body kit, but @ $1,850. Its no deal.

Is this stuff good or bad?

OK, so BMW has realized its time to get in on the tuner aftermarket, along with a lot of other car makers of late, rather than kiss all that extra cash bye bye. I get that.

But is this a good thing? For example, the 128i coupe offers a short shift kit that boasts "25% shorther throws" for $ 229.00.

This raises the question: why the heck doesn't the standard shifter have a 25% shorter throw to begin with? Maybe b/c BMW wants to sell a few short shift kits...

BMW is gonna be the most expensive supplier you can find for this type of stuff. My instinct would be to look elsewhere if you wanna start screwing with your car.

Carbon fibre is carbon fibre. People other than BMW can fabricate some CF trim that exactly matches your 1er dash too, most likely for a lot less money.

the 182 wheels there look somewhat like the euro (261?) sport wheels, but not quite as good..

also i wonder if the "rear basic kit" in the aerodynamic kit for the 128 is just the basic 135 sport package rear bumper/diffuser?

but yeah all that stuff is a bit pricey. wonder what the suspension and CF roll bars will cost.. the real shit

Yup, this is what I am afraid of. Although I think the entire car decked out on CF will look quite good.. Kind of like 135i RS

I wouldn't say that. Unless you are talking about some replica kits.

Hamann, Hartge, ACS will cost some good money also.

Not true.

Aftermarket BMW tuners are also expensive, we are not talking about a Civic. Its just the facts of modding BMW's.

For example, one of the most popular aftermarket short shifters:

UUC Short Shifter $355.00 vs. BMW's short shifter $229.00

Active Autowerke short shifter is $265.00

Also not exactly true.

I now of two off brands that make carbon trim for my E60.

The cheapest is ~$800.
