delay in production

Just called the 800-number (thanks Smokey). I have prod number 38938xx and the rep told me it'd be built during the 4th week of January. Then, he said it'd take 1 week to get to the port, 2-3 weeks to ship, and another 1-2 weeks to get out of the US port and to my dealer. So, that'd be right around early to mid-March. Nice!

My production number is 3911 and I have a week 4 production date, so my guess is they moved all priority 1's up. I was week 9 so this is awesome.

I had a production date for the 4th of Jan, but It still has not started production. I had a 3911XXX production number...

Whoa, Izzo. No negativity allowed here. We are all getting our cars built in week 4, and that is that. . . . . . . (not that I am anybody, just a little positive thinking here)

Looks like the bunch of us will have our cars made the same week.

if it's true our cars will be made even before the dealer demo cars then that's more motivation for me to check the mileage carefully. i don't want my car being taken for a spin by everyone at the dealership.

+1 million. Although, my dealer says the demos should come in soon, am gonna tell him to let me know when the car comes in cause I want to be there when they remove the shipping blocks.

I remember when the Wallenius Tricolor sunk in 2002. There were a bunch of people on Bimmerfest that lost their cars, including some who took delivery in Munich on ED, and their cars were being brought over for redelivery in the States.
