Let's all keep the sarcastic and unhelpful comments to a minimum (I've noticed this lately in many threads). As far as I can tell, he's asking a legitimate serious question so whether you think it's a silly question or not, if you have nothing helpful to say, please just move on to the next thread.

We're not going to allow this place to become a forum where people are afraid to ask questions because they may get a sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

call it what you will but it was an honest reply. if 258hp is not enough for him....then why should he want a BMW?

#1, street racing is stupid

#2, the BMW was not made for street racing. Seriously.

Then wouldn't a more constructive reply tell him that you can't massage much more power out of a 330i with what's currently out in the aftermarket? Certainly if he didn't know that, then a reply telling him to buy a subaru wouldn't have been helpful at all.

That said, TENCHI is right. This car is not a dragster and there's no upgrades currently out for this car that will turn it into a dragster.

I'd forget the turbo kit and get the M3. Adding a turbo kit will void the warranty and you may have issues in the future..

sometimes you have to rev up your car, otherwise it will get lazy..
but..of course its not good to do it every time..but once per week is completely perfect..bmw is not made of sugar..

I apologize for my vague reply then. I do not know the Subaru models in Europe so I left the model out, but what I was trying to convey was that if he wanted a fast car, the Subaru Wrx Sti would have been what he should have bought.

wanna make a poll and see how many people will agree with me?

and if u really must....I believe there is a Supercharger kit for the e90s.

but keep the BMW away from Street racing, most of us in the US have to deal with the reputation left by idiots in BMWs that kill innocent ppl while drag racing.

And yes, I know where Slovakia is.

if u go to e46fanatics.com and cruise the general forum, there are some sponsors that may have more info on Superchargers and stuff. last i heard a kit was in the works.

Then why not point him towards a 05/06 M3? Or are they not made for street racing either? Seriously it was a cheap comment that seemed just a tad elitist. He was asking how to make his car faster, not what you think he should have bought instead.

apologies. I am known as an elitist on e46fanatics

and why not an M3? Cause in reality, no car is made for street racing. I guess one could use an M3 for drag racing but come on....spend $60k to get beat by a car 1/3 the price?

I have often wondered how well the intake manifold and cylinder head ports match. I used to take small flapper wheels to these parts on 2-stroke motors and approximate them. Check this out:

I am transitioning over to e90post. E46 has lost a bit of its luster with the new sub forum layout.
