What do you think of my rear? Opinions needed....

I'm talking about my car's rear. lol - I've been debating on whether I should take my 135i emblem off because I like the clean look of only the BMW logo and nothing more. so I decided to take the plunge. here's some before and after shots.

what do you guys think? do you like the clean look or do you prefer to have the 135i in place?

before:

and after:

Personal choice of course but I would leave the window trim silver given your wheel choice. I bet it looks good when seen from the side (wheels and window trim complementing each other).

Regarding the 135i logo - either way looks good. Just depends if you want to keep it cleaner and keep people guessing. Nice work - upgrades look great!

Very clean. I debadged my old 330, so I'll probably end up debadging my 135i, hopefully before the florida sun burns the letters into the paint!

What exhaust did you get btw?

see, that's the beauty of this car. you take the 135i emblem off and most people who don't know what the car is have no idea if it's a low end bimmer or a higher end model.

these cars look so damn good it's kind of hard to tell.

I'd say keep it, it adds to the silver compliments on your car

How would he get the window trim shadow-line anyway? Doesn't it have to be done at the factory? I didn't know it was replaceable afterwards...

I would debadge and also remove the license plate frame, just put the plate on.

i dont like debadging. mainly because what the other guy mentioned -- what if others think its a 128, wanting to be a 135? 135 is as high as you can get for 1ers, so be proud of it!

I kind of like the idea of a debadged 1 series. One of my hesitancies about buying a BMW in So Cal, is that every corporate-ladder-climbing douchebag out here HAS to get a BMW. It's a status symbol for many people. Debadging it would kinda be an effort to NOT show off the exact pedigree of your car.

Who cares if others think it's a 128.

If you are wanting the de-chromed look then de-badging is fine but one without the other isn't "the bomb" for me.

I would say black Bimmian letters would look a bit better against the red. That and a shadowline grill to even out the front and back chrome.

Ohh also just a fast question. What tires are you running? They look good.

I hope they do think it's a 128i. that'll make them want to race me all that much more by thinking it's the weaker version.

then the heartbreaking would begin... lol

Man that thing is so shiny. Did you wax it or prep it in some way? Or is Crimson Red really just that glossy?
