Less than 8000 miles on them, paid over $900 but asking $650 picked up in NNJ. Check my iTrader feedback, PM if interested. |

You're going to need to post pictures and list the tread depth. At 8000 miles those tires are likely 33-50% worn, which makes your price quite high though.

Not at all, if you're only getting 16,000 out of Star Specs you should get your alignment checked. You can easily get 20, if not 25k out of them from normal street usage. Tirerack's user reviews guys who are getting even high as 30 out of them. And I said less than 8,000 just to be on the safe side.

Too bad you aren't local and didn't have 245/45/17s.

You are absolutely correct. When I get a chance to pull these out of storage, I'll measure tread depth and will adjust price accordingly. Last edited by 3002 tii; 08-29-2012 at 08:34 AM.. |

The only person being stubborn is you. I've already addressed this in my previous post but given your lack of reading comprehension, I will say it again. Less than 8 does not mean equal 8, I can't make that any more clear. I posted 8 as the high end just to be safe but I'm pretty sure these have about 7k. 7,000 and "Less than 8000 miles" are both pretty similar in my book. Assuming you get 25k out of these, 7/25 = 28%. 72% x 900 = $648, or my $650 asking price. Again 25k is not unheard of for street usage. Tirerack user reviews go as high as 30k (filter by miles most driven). The math is pretty straightforward. If you have no interest in purchasing these that's fine but providing unsolicited incorrect advice should best be kept for yourself. None of my posts have been misleading in any way. I've provided factual reference points combined with conservative assumptions to come up with a fair/justifiable price. If you can find a better deal, by all means hop on it. If not, this sale clearly is not for you. |

At your offer of $75/tire, I would rather donate these to charity and get a tax write-off (or just keep them and use them for another 20,000 miles).
