Best pads to pair with Stoptech crossdrilled rotors?
It’s time for me to address my front brakes. Looking to go with stoptech rotors, but wondering which pads would be best.
For what it’s worth, I don’t track the car, occasional canyon runs, but that’s about it. Thinking of going with the cool carbons? My biggest things are looking for pads that don’t squeal and have OEM-like stopping power/bite. Hoping someone with stoptech rotors too can chime in lol |

Yea - the OEMs are quite good for a stock pad honestly. Great initial bite and good stopping power on the street, and quiet. Just the dust is not great, that's mainly it.

You'll find a lot of folks here running the EBC Reds, myself included. Wonderful street pad. Great bite & feel- easy to modulate when coming down from speed, and much less "grabby" at low speeds or when inching forward than the stock pads.
And less dust. Sooooo so so much less dust.

+1 on EBC Redstuff for the street. No noise, no dust, just not a track day pad.

Depending on what you consider "track racing" I'd encourage keeping the Red's on the street and getting a dedicated set of pads for track use.
Having a set of rotors for the pads is encouraged, but it's possible to keep one set of rotors and just swap pads. Just be sure to let em bed in after the swap- drive to the track on your race pads for example. This may shed some clarity- in this case FAQ #'s 4 & 5 are on topic, tho the page makes a nice quick read- http://www.stoptech.com/technical-su...res/bed-in-faq
