Are Tint Precautions Needed with the 135i? Felt/Moleskin to Prevent Scratches?
I know in my last car (2008 Evo X) that a felt lining needed to be installed in the door panels to prevent scratching of the window tint. Apparently the seals that the window glass rubs against were a very hard plastic and any dust or particles that got in between would horribly scratch the tint.
Do BMWs have this problem too? I have noticed some streaking on my untinted windows so I'm not sure if the felt/moleskin will be needed or not when I get the car tinted. If you have a tinted 1 series, please share your experiences. |

The biggest problem you will have is finding an installer and living with the slight air under the dot matrix.
A good install will heat gun the bottom of the front windows so the tint doesn't get harmed by the window opening/closing with the door. |
