You guys missed a great time on Saturday. Probably had around 30 cars show up (unfortunately no 1ers). Ian's Dad brought the tour bus out and we all watched Ian's race at Daytona on it. We will be having plenty of meets here so don't worry. Next time some of you guys should really try to make it out.

Someone bring their 1er by the shop. I have yet to receive a ride in one. I know a bunch of the guys up at Dreyer and they say the 135i is probably the most fun car to drive in current line up. So when it gets nice out and someone has time come by and let me at least sit in it.

Holy shit! I just saw this thread--don't get over here as much as I used to.
I am in the Indy area a lot--and like many in the area, I also have an AW 135. It really is the best looking color IMO. Noticed a montego blue 135 in Greenwood last weekend--it was very dirty, but totally caught my eye because I don't see many 1ers in Indy.....

Indianapolis GTG 02/21/2009
Quote:
Okay, its time again for a GTG. This time we are going to switch it up a bit. We would like to meet up at EPwerks at around 11:00AM on Saturday. From there we will all take a joint cruise up to Zionsville. Ian's grandfather owns a shop in Zionsville that rebuilds vintage race cars. We will be provided a full tour and will be aloud to check out all of the cars that they currently have up there. Such cars as IMSA Trans Am car, 1936 BMW 328 Cab, 1965 Corvette Stingray, Brabham BT21, a Bobsy, and other misc. cars. From there we would like to do something for lunch. We can all cruise to some restaurant or we would be glad to fire up the grill here at the shop and have a pitch in. So throw up any suggestions you have and whether or not you can make it out. |

I need to check this part of the forum more often as well!
I'm in Ft. Wayne for the weekend, but I have yet to see another 1 around here. Whenever I come back to the Fort I drive the 1, but I usually just keep it parked at my parents house. Dmboone, I met you at the BMWCCA autocross, how's your JB3 working out? I'm going to try to make it to all (3) of the Indy CCA autocrosses this year, but I'm going to take the S2000 to SCCA events. As for the events at EPWerks, they sound fun but it will be tough for me to convince the girlfriend to dedicate a Saturday or Sunday to another car event... |

Hey what's going on! It is good to see that you are around as well. The JB3 is awesome--I just need to get it out to take the car in for service! I started another thread asking for someone to help me, but to no avail yet. I had someone install it for me, as I am a mechanical moron, so I am def needing help getting it out...lol How is the SSTT? Have you heard of the JB+? It works in the same manner as the SSTT, but gives better gains. Also lets you adjust boost levels...looks like a winner to me. I need to get over to the Fort more often.

Unfortunately, I'm not a BMW owner, but I've detailed a few. I wanted to subscribe to this thread to lend my help if any of you Indy BMW owners have any detailing needs. My facility is located downtown Brownsburg. Check out the links in my signature for more info. Thanks!

Been on Vacation in FL for a few weeks...I still will try and come by your shop sometime or if you ever get out to ORP on Tuesday Night(s) Street Legal I could/would give you a ride. This "work" thing during the week is a problem What's this weather doing in Indiana ...60s today and 30s next week with a chance of snow |
