Thier entitled to their opinion, however wrong it is.

Forward progress is a good thing. While I did really like the way the E46's looked before I saw the E90, now they just look outdated and plain (and boy do I hate the rubber strips!!!). I saw in that thread more then once "everyone likes it but a few"......... with good taste blah blah blah, even the haters are acknowledging that everyone likes it.

Personally, I think the e90 is better looking than the e46.

I thought it was ugly when it came out, but a lot of things have changed since.

For example, I think the E90 is a nice looking car now, and I was banned from E46fanatics.

I compare the current E90 with the first E46 though, it wouldn't be fair to compare...ooh, let's say my E46 with the current E90.

I'm sure the E90 will look better as it evolves throughout its production time. It seems that the coupes will already look amazing.

For now, I still prefer the looks of my car.

Amen to that, I had doubts until I parked RIGHT next to an identical color 2005 E46 330i with ZSP. I was like "What the hell? It actually DOES look a lot better."

It's just something new and many people are skeptical to change until they get used to it. Especially if it's better than what they already have.

To be honest, I didn't really like the E90 at first either. But it grew on me the more I researched into it. Now, I can't believe I had any doubts in the first place.

It is not the only message board. A site that I frequent which consents of many BMW enthusiasts that originated at Roadfly in the late 90's currently dislike many of the new BMWs. The vast majority of them are certainly not fans of the 3, 5, 6, 7, X3, and X5.

BTW, the E46 with the Performance Pkg. is still a very attractive automobile. Without it, the E46 looks very dated.

for any car there wil be those who like the styling and those who don't. It's a personal choice.

BTW I think jealousy has nothing to do wtih it. If you can own an E46 you can own an e90.
I have seen lease rates at 299/month. That's not a hard stretch for most e46 owners.

Anyways I will say the E46 M3 is one of the sexiest cars around.

I first really disliked the E90, it something that has to grow on you. I think I liked the 5 series E90 better but kept seeing more and more of the 3 series and its just as sweet now.

I find this happens alot people that own a certain car will always think that its the best. For instance the older E46 cars most of those drivers will always bash the E90 b/c there's is better, but if they were to give it a shot then they would see that change isn't too bad.

I dunno probably could go on for awhile about this.

I was reading some car review about the E90 and they were saying how it would never win a beauty contest. I like the new look over the old one a lot.

Oh forgot to add, it's VERY easy to own an older generation and absolutely hate the new generation, I've done it. I had an 02 Accord coupe and thought the 03+ looked horrible and stupid from first sight, UNTIL I got rid of it and now I think the new ones look pretty sweet. Lol, sadness of human nature ...........

Well at least I got to know myself better through it.

The same thing happened when the E46 hit dealers in late Sept., early Oct. of 1998. E36 owners hated the E46.

As a former owner of the E36 and the E46, the E46 was far superior when compared to the E36.

I think the E90 looks alot sportier and the E46 looks classier. I prefer E90
