after warranty mods for reliability?

My 135 will soon run out of warranty & I'm just wondering what I should do first? I would like to keep the car a long time. I'm happy with the power, I just want to replace OEM stuff that might otherwise fail.
Preventative maint, Water pump and valve cleaning aside, what else? Stock charge pipe?
Any ideas?
Thanks

The 135 owners will surely have some good thoughts, but the water pump would be on my list, for sure.

As it doesn't seem like your four years are up, you must be approaching 50K miles.

Change engine oil frequently. Change the transmission and differential fluids. Get the intakes walnut blasted as well.

^^+1.

Also you might be due for new brakes(front and rears seem to wear at the same time due to the DTC and aggressive driving). Also when you replace the waterpump also replace the thermostat and coolant. I would not flush it, just change it. Brake fluid should also be changed along with pollen filter and wiper blades. Also inspect your serpentine accessory belt for cracks/replace.

If you weren't able to get the new revision injectors replaced under warranty, have at an absolute minimum $750 ready to go if you need even 1 injector replaced, as the whole bank needs to be done and re-coded at the dealership.

What is the proper fluid for transmission and diff? What about steptronic trans? I've seen different reports for both.

I am running Redline fluids in my trans and diff and I could not be happier. Redline D4 ATF in my 6MT trans and Redline 75W90 GL-5 gear oil for the diff.

Without knowing the condition of your car, just off the top of my head
Various gaskets that see a lot of heat cycles (valve cover and oil filter housing come to mind)
Accessory belt, though it’s probably OK good to quickly inspect
All fluids (motor oil, trans fluid, diff fluid, coolant, PS fluid, brake fluid)
Pads and rotors, maybe sensors
Water pump and thermostat
Ignition components (plugs and coils, I’d rec you just swap everything out at once and start fresh)
Vac lines, they start to dry rot and crack over time.
Vanos and boost solenoids (clean and inspect)
PS please don’t go to the dealer to get this work done out of warranty. In terms of fluids, it’s completely subjective but for what it’s worth I run

OE (pentosin) PS fluid
Motul 600 Brake fluid
Motul 5W-40 motor oil
Redline D4 ATF
Redline Diff fluid

How do you like D4 ATF in your MT? It's a very versatile fluid for DD cars that are occasionally driven hard, so a lot of people run it in both AT and MT. I've been happy with it in the step box.

I really like the D4, shifting feels a lot smoother with it. Its also a thicker fluid at 7.5 cst vs 6.1 cst of the oem fluid.

Yep. The thicker viscosity and heat resistance is what swayed me towards D4 over D6. 3-4-5 shifts build up a ton of heat.
