Detailer's Domain: Nissan GTR - Paint Correction
Sorry its been awhile since I have posted up a write up (at least for me) its been a bit hectic at the warehouse.
Believe it or not another new car fix. Its really unfortunately. Diagnosis.... an abundance of holograms, swirls, cut marks, wash marks. Solution below: What was done - Exterior - Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes - Tires were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down - Wheel wells were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash - Wash down and rinsed - Door jambs were cleaned up - Clayed - Dried - Paint inspected and measured - Wheel Wells were cleaned and dressed - Tires dressed - Masking - 2 Step Paint correction (Menzerna Super Intensive Polish with an Uber Green and Menzerna PO85RD with an Uber Blue) - Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight - Last Step - Menzerna Power Lock - Rubber and Plastics Treated - Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed - Exhaust tips cleaned - Engine Cleaned up and dressed Products used: (feel free to click the link below for more info) Exterior: Lusso Auto Bathe P21S Total Auto Wash Uber Yellow Wash Sponge Uber Clay Bar kit with Optimum No Rinse Einszett Spray Wax Menzerna Super Intensive Polish Menzerna PO85RD Menzerna Power Lock Wheels/Tires Sonax Wheel Cleaner Swissvax Pneu Glass Adam's Glass Cleaner Adam's Glass Sealant Tools: Infratech 5300 Fenix TK11 Brinkmann Fenix TK40 Flex 3403 Makita Metabo The Uber Foam Pads (5.5inch) Tons of "Uber" Microfiber Towels Uber Drying Towels Brushes Cam Spray Pressure Wash and Foam Canon Attachment Before: Bath Wheel Clean Up Rinse Clay (no much to clay as the car was new) Inspection/Paint Correction (Before and After Shots) The Driver's Door was an example of how bad the car was for a new car. wow looks amazing, great job. How do cars get these small scratches? I assume from hand washing and not using the proper amount of soap or the wrong type of rag?

ive heard that gtr's came with that "self healing paint". i heard all you need is a hair-dryer to remove swirls.
does this stuff even exist? i tried searching a year ago with sub-par results.
