Tint Advice

I recently ordered a few appearance mods for my car. The finishing touch will be tints, however I live in jersey where side tints (driver, passenger) are illegal completely.

I was wondering how you guys felt about the backseat windows taking on the same tint as the sunroof, and the back window going 10 percent darker. The driver and passenger opperable windows will be untinted. Comments on that?

Personally, I think the car would look a little weird with just the rear-window & quarter panel tinted...and the side windows left clear.

My SUV has the back seat windows tinted and the back glass tinted. I can't say that I've seen it on a car, however.

yeah the 50% was what i was originally going to do, then a cop took my state trooper pba card when i got pulled over about 2 weeks ago, soo now i cant get out of it. The only cars i've seen really pulled for tints though have 5-10% VLT

Well I went ahead and did 3m tint all the way around at 35percent. Should looks good, not deep enough to look ridiculous. The guy also gave me the option to tint my back tail lights, I asked him if he could box out the white flawlessly and he said not a problem, so I went for it. I'm interested to see how that will look!

Post pics when you get it back. I'm interested to see what your taillights will look like.

It's not legal to have any tint on the 2 front windows here either. I've had tint on all my cars and never had a problem. I'm getting 35% on all windows soon.
