Anyone in Sydney Had 261 Alloys Repainted?
Mine have been abused with what looks like acidic wheel cleaner. White lacquer streaks all over the spokes that claying will not remove.
I've used the Wheelman in Tempe on previous cars for gutter rash repairs, and they were good, but would like to hear if anyone has had a full repaint and who you'd recommend. Cheers |

Thanks guys. Totti, I just spotted a previous thread that you replied on after going to Peter at Lansdale. Do you have a picture of your wheels he repainted in gunmetal...that's exactly what I wanted to go for.

Very nice. Just to back up Totti's recommendation, I took mine to Peter at Custom Wheels in Lansdale.
Full repaint (including the inside of the rims) using Bee Em paint. He goes one better than the factory and puts three layers of clear coat rather than one. All baked in an oven, and a top quality job. Thanks Totti! |

Basically a full restore, with a couple of bits of gutter rash repaired. $220 per wheel. Significantly cheaper than the crowd I've used at Artarmon in the past, where I was charged close to $400 per wheel for the same job.
They look factory fresh and I can even see silver on the insides of the rim!. Highly recommended. |

Mine were in pretty good shape overall (kerbing-wise) but the lacquer was screwed on two of the wheels and starting to go on the others. Only way to solve that is to strip them back and repaint. |
