iPhone and USB Snap in Adaptor

Hello everyone,

I just got my 135i a couple of weeks ago. Traded in my '07 335i for it. Wanted something a little less "regal" and more fun to drive!

Yesterday I purchased the USB Snap in Adaptor for the Smart Phone hook up. I have the iPhone 3G. Everything works fine with it, except when I first plug my phone in, I get this message - "Accessory not made to work with iPhone". The message fades away after a few seconds, then all is normal. I've searched the forum and didn't see this issue. Has anyone else experienced this? I called service and they said not to inconvenience myself - if it works, don't worry and just have someone look at it when I next bring my car in. That's hopefully going to be a long time from now.

Mine does that too, but functions normally. Like you, I've just ignored it. I'm hoping that with the 3.0 software release and BT audio syncing, it will stop with those sorts of messages.

A stitch in time…

It's not right, so I'm not happy about it. If it's common, I'd worry less about any problem in the future.

The message shows with my B&W speakers too. It's normal for many accesorries.
