Tyre alignment specs
I am due for new rear tyres since the inside of the rear tyres have been worn down heavily, when getting my alignment done what specs for toe and camber should I tell the shop to do so that my tyre wear is more even? Stock wheels and getting 245/35/18 pilot super sports.

When you get your alignment checked you may find the reason for your tire wear issue. If there is rear toe out, it would explain the inside tire wear.
Stock alignment should be ok to avoid tire wear problem on the rear. It generally specifies 0.12 to 0.18 degree per side rear toe-IN. Total rear toe of around 0.30 degree. The trouble is the rear toe will go out of spec when you drive on bad roads and hit pot holes etc. Stock rear camber of around -1.6 or -1.7 degrees should be ok. |

I think the stock alignment is pretty bad for performance street driving and tyre wear. For the rear, I would definitely reduce the toe and negative camber.
Most shops read out toe in mm instead of degrees in Australia, I'd say 1mm of toe each side (2mm total toe), 1.2 degrees neg camber Front camber isn't adjustable unless the alignment studs in the top hats are removed, front toe i'd put to 0.8mm each side. Can definitely reduce the toe further to help turn in and tyre wear but these settings are what i'd recommend for most people driving on the street.

When you get your alignment done, I'd recommend Road and Race at Rydalmere. Peter is one of the best in Sydney and my car feels transformed after a visit there a couple of weeks ago.

I second this. I like 0.5mm toe in up front each side and 0.8mm toe in each side rear. -1.5deg rear camber. |
