So what happens if I do this...
Basic and stupid noob question.
I have a n54 with a flash tuned ECU through a tune house I have more bolt on parts and want to install a JB4 and just run FBO on map 2 setting. Does this cause problems? and Do I need to reset the ECU to baseline the parameters prior to installing the JB4 and simply running the map. Just looking for straight answer - don't flame me. cheers |

If you want to install a JB4, then yeah you should flash back to the stock map. Another option would be to get a new flash tune that will take advantage of your new mods. Both approaches will yield basically the same results.

You will want to re-flash your ECU with a JB4 backend-flash to take full advantage of the JB4.
Running a JB4 map on top of a non-JB4 tuned backend flash can yield strange results. Alternatively, you can configure the JB4 to run in 'gauges only mode', where it does no tuning and leaves the tuning entirely to your backend flash. |
