Digital radio

Australia has digital radio on air today.

I notice that BMW has DAB radio as an option in UK. I wonder if I can retrofit it.

Some people said no on the other forum.

I wonder about your view.

Unfortunately we (as in Australia) are doing our usual trick and using a different standard for digital radio (DAB+). I don't know if DAB+ is backwards compatible with DAB, but it's definately something to be aware of.
To be honest I don't see the point in it, especially when some stations are using very low data rates, which can make the sound quality worse than FM.....
