This thread periodically dies. I know it's hot out there but I think we can still meet up somewhere.

I propose doing a meet up this Saturday 8/27 at the Pavillions car show. I know it's short notice but who would be down?

For those that don't know the Pavillions is a car show every Saturday at the Pavillions shopping center. Indian Bend and the 101. If people want to meet up for a drive before hand I'm open to ideas. Maybe a photo shoot at tortilla flats?

I won't be able to make the 8/27 run this time. But I will throw this out there. Back when I had a C6 Z06 and was involved with that forum we did a mount lemmon run in Tucson. It was a blast, we had about 125 corvettes show up. Obviously we won't get that many but I would be totally okay with doing this drive again with 1 owners. Maybe we can work this into everybody's schedules in the future.

Can't do 8/27, the Arizona Craft Beer festival is going on that day in Chandler. Gotta be there in semi-work guise, but still get to drink.

Sounds like a lot of people can't make it on 8/27. How about the next weekend (9/3) for Cars and Coffee at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale? It's always a lot of fun.

If you've seen a handful then that's seriously more than I've seen around my area. Since I purchased mine in May I've seen 2 others on the street. It's an exclusive club. Good for us.

Hey, do any of you guys know of a good 3rd party BMW shop in the valley? Preferably closer to the west side? I just passed 50k miles on my 1er so I need to find a dependable shop that's more affordable than taking it to the dealership.

There aren't any indy BMW shops near the West Valley, only Tempe. I found a good Performance shop near the 101 and Hayden, though.

I'll be going to Cars and Coffee in Scottsdale tomorrow morning (9/3) around 7:30. I hope some other 1ers are able to make it.

Also, Senna, the documentary about F1 driver Ayrton Senna, is playing at Harkins Theater in Scottsdale this weekend. I've seen the movie before and it's awesome. If you enjoy motor sports at all you should make an effort to see it.
