How about some Philips Ultinon 6000k bulbs? You cannot beat OEM quality and reliability that way you never have to worry about the cheap Korean crap coming from some vendors these days.

Easy, just remove the rear cap of the headlights. Twist out the bulb, replace the new bulb. I believe for the passenger side its easier to remove the fender liner to access the rear headlight cover because of the different fluid tanks in the passenger side area.

It worked yesterday. It was some guy trying to hawk "OEM Quality" D1S bulbs without being a vendor. I am thinking the mods nixed his thread because of that.

For instance, many big expensive brands dont even make their own bulbs...like Piaa for the longest time. |

No, if you are looking for brightness in terms of light output, your OEM 4300k will offer the most light output. 6000k or 8000k bulbs are not brighter as measured by light output in lumens, they do offer a better color which is pure white for 6000k or aqua for 8000k. If you are looking for better color, then upgrade to a 6000k or 8000k. I did it to match the WL angel eyes and to get rid of the OEM yellow tint.

i get what you are saying: ge, phillips, etc engineered the technology and make their own pieces (for the most part), and i respect the piece of mind attached to it...brand means a lot. but i mean when comparing mtech and other stuff under 280 bucks, its kinda a crapshoot.
