Just installed the AA tune on my 1M

The software change is supposed to add 65 whp and 70 torque. I drove it yesterday for an hour straight to "train" the software of my driving habits and all I can say is "wow". I own an e46 with Dinan Stage 3 and it is no where near this fast. I have driven a lot of fast cars over the years and I am not sure I have ever driven anything with the immediate get up and go as this car. The stock 1M is plenty fast. This car is now straight line scary fast. I will be careful about applying too much throttle in the corners.

Can you tell us more about the AA tune? Where do you get it, pricing, links, etc.

get it dynoed and you will get an idea of how much horsepower and torque you gained to the wheels and how much your car is pushing

I purchased the tune from Active Autowerkes along with their G5 programmer. It was simple. I downloaded my stock software onto the G5 then transferred it to my laptop. I emailed the program to Active and they sent me the tuned software about 24 hours later. I then loaded it to the G5 and then loaded it into my car. It took about a half an hour to load. I now have both tunes on the G5 so I can go back to stock if I need to. It was a pretty slick deal and very easy to set up.

Curious about why you went with AA instead of Cobb, GIAC, evolve, PTF, etc...

My experience with AA has been very positive for a number of years. I have a tune on an e36 M3 for a track car that has been great along with accessories like cold air and exhaust. I also own an e93 M3 that has AA performance additions. The purchase of the tune was somewhat on a whim and I thought it was reasonably priced as they had a sale on their software on cyber Monday. I realize I cannot quote the exact increase until I dyno the car but I can attest from driving it that the change is significant. Regardless I am happy with the change. It is definitely the fastest BMW I have driven. The only car that I have driven that feels similar in acceleration is a 2007 997 Porsche Turbo. It is a lot of fun.
