Gauges

Is there a way to change the color of the gauges?

People have done it in other BMWs but it is extremely difficult. You have to remove the cluster, disassemble it, and solder different LEDs to the board.

Andd, it's not worth it. I did it on one of my previous cars and it's more trouble than it is worth. After a while they'll start blinking from either being lower quality LEDs or from the tiny tiny little solder you did not holding up well.

Then you have to go and reopen the whole thing and do it all over again. It's a royal pain in the ass.

yes I know!
It`s quite simple.
all you need is a NEW gauge and someone who can code it.that`s all.

I had the e92 m3 gauge in my old 130i. That was not that easy.

How much is the new gauge anyway. Look so cool. I dont like my stock 135i gauge. Even my prius gauge look better.

here is a pic of my old 130i with the e92 m3 gauge:

costs about 650 Euro new

and here is a pic of the 1m gauge in my 135i:

costs about 500 Euro new

In both cases you need a new gauge which was never coded on another car to make it work right.
