Immature TL Owners

My friend just showed me this thread on the TL Acurazine Forum and I cannot believe how immature and jealous these people are of this 16yr old kid whose parents are cool with getting him a $35K car. I haven't seen anything of this sorts on this forum and feel pretty lucky now. I have posted on page 7 if any of you manage to read that much.

I used to be a member there when I had my TSX and they are all a bunch of whining, jealous a-holes. It doesn't matter how respectful or mature you are because if you are under 20 they will treat you like crap. Most of them also like to say that Acuras are god's gift to men and that they are better than any other car and that buying a BMW, MB, or Lexus is simply spending too much to get only a badge.

I disagree, im 17 and for the most part you guys dont give me "shit." Every now and then someone will use my age against me but for the most part you guys treat me as an equal. Which btw i appreciate.

At that young of an age maturity still comes in as a factor. Experience is another factor that you cannot buy and must deal with like the rest of us.
If the parents can afford it so be it. Just like any other car they all crash the same and lessons learned. My daughter will not have that luxury and will start out with a practical and something less expensive. I will probably get her a new car when she graduates college and deserving of something nicer.

I posted it in the thread and it was never a "Big Race" It started out as a question to who would win and developed into me racing the kid, someone in that thread blew it way out of proportion.

I get somewhat jealous (and sometimes confused) when I see very young people with really nice cars. I'm a 22 year old college grad and only hope to be able to afford a bmw within the next 5 years. Anywho, I'll probably be poking around here silently until then

Take your time, its not going anywhere! Keep in mind to save for retirement since there will be no social security for you when you are of age. There are more important things in life.

Did he buy the car himself with his own money from a job that he has? I see many people who drive cars and own nothing else except the clothes on their backs. They eat ramen all the time not to starve. I like ramen too. It kinda makes me mad but hey we are all different. I have seen many soldiers in the Army live well beyond their means and we often kick them out of the service for not paying debts.

look i have friends in the ages of 16-20 with m3's, slk55 etc etc and i dont give them shit at all because no matter what you say they still have it, you know that if you could do it you would. But there is no reason to give someone trouble over nothing. it doesnt affect you at all. its jealousy which is a hard thing to get over but trust me just enjoy what you have.

Dad bought it for him. I must add though that his dad owns a F360 Spyder, Lambo Murcielago, Bentley Continental GT and just a couple of 7 series' and s600s.

Kanishkl, can you post for me in refrence to
Quote:
1976 Honda Civic.

This reminds me of the chick whose parents bought her a new 330ci last year. I found it funny when she had it wrapped around a telephone pole in front of my neighborhood. Her mom didn't like my comment "guess you should have bought her a civic" as I pulled in. As her mom huffed and puffed at me, all while yelling at her daughter, I responded "don't worry mom, you probably can't drive your 745 worth a shit either"

the girl wasn't hurt btw
can you say for me, if her mother would've bought her the 76 civic, the daughter wouldnt be alive for the mom to yell at.

A lot of them kept saying that it's a gaurantee that the car will be keyed in high school. I don't know if this is so true. I would think that a lot of these kids go to schools where kids have nice cars to begin with. If anything...their car would be keyed for them being an ass, not just for the sake of having a nicer car than someone else.
