Window scratches
Some random *** *** **** egged my car this morning. My windscreen had all broken eggshell and smelly egg that had started to dry in the sydney sun.
To remove it I was using a scotch brite sponge (soft side) and for the bits that wouldn't remove no matter how much i elbow greased it I stupidly used the other side. Being the abrasive side. Link to a pic of the type of sponge i'm talking about. Now when I sat in my car I can see the swirl marks Does anyone know what I can do to fix it? fukkkkkkkkkk what a stupid thing to do! Argh.. big night + no breakfast + in a rush to get to an appointment + annoyed cause of what someone else did to your car = bad decisions |

Really can't imagine that a scotchbrite scourer would scratch glass. Are you sure that it's not just left over egg you're seeing?
If it is really scratched, take it to a windscreen joint should polish out for about $50 or try this http://www.properautocare.com/polishglass.html Cheers, Alf

Do a insurance comp claim on the windshield. In the states it is a zero deductable and can not count against your driving record for higher rates.

I want to stay away from the claim method of solving it.. I know I could get it claimed but they might not replace it with a BMW window but something like obrien's. Also I'd like to figure out how to solve it since I did stuff it up
I'm really starting to think that a glass polish will fix it. I've been reading the threads about it and yeah.. It looks like it will fix it! Last edited by dh58; 10-16-2010 at 08:35 AM.. |
