video tricks
is it just me or does the 135i footage in almost every video seem stretched horizontally? heres one
but literally almost all the videos on youtube or released by bmw seem to have a very favoring stretch effect similar to fitting regular tv to a widescreen/HD. seems like a good marketing idea but a lot of the pictures show a more expected tallish, not so wide and hunkered down appearance. hope its not too much the case, and certainly hope its not the case to the point that bmw realizes it and is purposefully trying to hide it.. edit: i dunno, some of them the backgrounds look very much undistorted and the car looks great.. maybe im just being pessimistic |

I think that's all it is.
None of the photos have been doctored at all to disguise the proportions of the car.

yeah not doctoring, i just mean that the stretching seems to be done purposefully on the majority of the videos because it makes the shape more pleasing..

It's simply a matter of taking a 4:3 ratio video and fitting it on a 16:9 ratio.
