the dif look of e90 & e92

I'm glad that the 4 door and the coupe have a (somewhat) dif design. With the new coupe coming out...it makes the E90 more unique; unlike the E46…both cars (E46 4 door & E46 coupe) looks the same. The E92 looks more elegant and somewhat classy.
I think BMW made a good decision to make the E92 dif from the E90…..or you rather have the 2 look exactly the same; what do you think?

I would not mind if the e90 had the same rear/taillight design as the e92. I seem to like the e92's rear more.

I think the e90 is more sportly than e92. I don't like the rear of e92.it's very long, it seem mercedes clk . e92 front is very beatiful .. the only think i like of e92. The best is e91

Yep I agree. When I first saw the spy pics, I thought it had to be some other car and not a BMW.

Some speculate that this is the M-sport for the E92 335i. Others think it's some sort of aftermarket kit.

I think the e92 looks friggin' fantastic!! I like the more aggresive front of the e92. I prefer smaller cars, so surprising that's a plus for the sedan and not the coupe.

Ya, I like it a lot too - I just wish it were shorter. I'd have given up the rear leg room.

That was my first thought when I saw the front. By moving the inside corners of the headlight housing up, they lost the agressive "eagle eye" look that to me is the signature of the new 3 Series. They also reshaped the lower intake area around the fog lights and lost the "scowl".

Chick car.

I know the E92 is 2 inches longer but it seems smaller for some reason. Maybe it's because of the roof line.

I like the front and the rear, its the side that Im having a hard time accepting. It just looks weird. Maybe once I see it person, Ill have a different opinion, but overall, I think I like I like the E90 more, which is weird because Ive always had coupes.

I think the E92 looks great. I really like the swept back look. The front looks great with clear lights and no reflectors. I assume the US version will have amber reflectors, which would make the front of the two cars look a little more similar than in those photos. I prefer the back of the E92 to the E90.

It's tough to judge in photos. When I first saw E90 photos, I wasn't so sure about it. But the first time I saw the car in person, I became a fan.

The US amber reflectors on the e92 will not be the same as the e90 so they wont make the cars look the same. The e92 reflector is near the wheel well similar to the Z4 while the e90 is around the headlights.

See this thread/photo for an example of the e92 reflectors:

I know the orange reflectors are required in the US, but what is the purpose of them, besides ruining the front end of the car? I remember when they use to be required on the rear taillights and are not anymore, but why still in the front?

At first I despised the rear of the e92, but it looks much better than I initially thought. I think the e92 is sportier, at least in the front, but the overall look of the e90 is more pleasing IMO. It could be that the e92 just needs a little more time to grow on me. They are both very nicely designed cars.
