Will a downpipes leak loose power and some boost??

Sup guys, I finally put in my 3 inch catless downpipes it made the car wake up..I took it for a ride after the install on my original map setting 5,and the car was touching 15 psi rather then 13 when I had the stock pipes..I had to use stock gaskets cause someone never packed up my new gaskets and bolts in the box.I was pissed but the shop said let's use your oem gaskets for now until you get the new ones, well surly enough I noticed today the turbo wasn't whistling threw the exhaust as much and noticed also, a slight hissing sound by the downpipe connections..I went wot and the car felt sluggish when compared to yesterday's pulls and boost was only touching the most 13.5psi..I'm wondering would this leak effect boost and overall power ?? Thanks

If you have an exhaust leak at the end of the DP flanges I don't think it would give you a seat of the pants effect on performance. It is annoying as hell though.

I've used the OEM gaskets in a pinch and they were fine. The problem is that the bolts like to work themselves loose from the vibration.

Exhaust leaks pre-o2 sensors will cause the car to read lean and may cause the ECU to compensate for this which could be responsible for the sluggish feeling.

Well I checked the car last night and I let it sit for 3 hours ,then I Restated it and put my hand around the gaskets and it was not leaking ..I also checked them with a flash light for any black marks, and found none it was a false alarm on that..it must have been the hotter weather and more humidity of last night making map 5 off ..I like map 5 ,but it's a bit conservative and not consistent with it's power..I think I might just switch it to map 2 any thoughts guys??? P.s berk that's for alWays relaying to my Threads with Answers ,your service is top notch as I can tell!! Might be calling you soon for a cutback if get bored of my Oem exhaust which I am almost already..

^^ Exactly what I was going to say. The exhaust leaks "educts" air into the stream causing this. Bernoulli's principle 101
