HID Bulb Clips

I have aftermarket 8k HID bulbs installed in my 135i, they are held in by those metal tension clips on all sides of the bulb square housing.

The drivers bulb keeps popping out and I am not sure if there is a way to tighten those clips or if anyone has had a similar issue. The clips are hard to tighten via bending as putting pressure on them turns the entire adaptive lighting projector housing.

any thoughts/suggestions?

I've done this before on an e90's lights, I would run the wiring through the clips, why did you change your lighting kit?

I picked the car up from a fellow 1addict and he had replaced the factory HID bulbs with 8k aftermarkets.

Can you describe what you mean, 'run the wiring through the clips' ?

Nevermind haha, I thought you were running an aftermarket HID ballast setup. I think the buld goes in on a 90 degree turn? Try that.

Per the pictures in the manual they are installed wire down (which they are)...however they dont tell you how to change the bulbs or give any tips as they tell you the bulbs rarely fail and BMW should help if they do.

Havent seen any DIY or posts regarding changing these, anyone done it and have tips?
