I had the 3er done Thursday...the 1er goes in on Monday.

I would not wait. Mr. Steeb (Neiderlassung) says they have already towed in a couple of dead cars because of the cable.

Does anyone know if this causes random stalls on a DCT when going slowing down and then trying to accelerate?

I doubt it....but I know of the DCT quirk you are speaking of.

It is pissing me the eff...off. I did not have any problems at all then I put DP on and revs are weird even when warm. Then, JB4 and when going at low speeds and stopping then having to accelerate a bit if stalls, some BS. I feel like selling all of my mods.

I think there was an SW update from BMW on this. I think Mr Clean had it done to his DCT. ?

Don't get rid of your mods. This "stalling" is a quirk That has something to do with traction control or a protection for the DTC of some kind. I've ran into it several times at the drag strip and playing with launch control. For me it only happens at very low speeds or complete stops. It acts as if the throttle valve almost completely closes.

I updated the iDrive software to receive txt messages via bluetooth but nothing relating to the DCT. The JB accentuates this issue just as you said. If I had it to do over again I would get the 6 speed. Live and learn...

so there is no way to get ride of the issue...the stalling...the revs???

I'm pretty sure I saw an SIB posted about this stalling issue with DCT's. Try searching with Google. I did find this thread...

There is this last post about the VANOS being replaced bc of it.

I already read this one...I am trying to talk directly to someone who has fixed this issue. Trying to see what are the different things that have been going on.

So far I hear:

- TMAP
- VANOS
- O2 Sensors
- ECU update (bmw)

This is what I got so far...if this persist I might have to get me a 4 series

Since the ISO mod for the JB4 it's only stalled once. Burger tuning has an N55 with DCT so I think they'll eventually get all the kinks worked out. I'll live with it for now.

Yea this year only done it twice not bugging me too bad. The only thing that kills me a bit is the rev'ing while stopeed at a light while the car is cold.

But...who cares, RACECARS!!!
