M-Sport Steering Wheel

Does anyone know if the E92 M3 steering wheel is the same as our 135 ones?

Only difference I can see is the stitching and the paddle shifts, other then that they are identical.

Thanks.

Different leather I think. Plus the M3 doesn't have the perforations or the M badge.

FYI, I have a couple of 1M steering wheels if anyone wants one (wheel only, no centre covers). One was used for only a few hundred k's the other a few thousand k's.

First, no I'm not gloating , both wheels are surplus, and a set of brand new(ish) LCI's tails. PM sent.

No paddles, they are off 1M's.

M3 has the following differences:
- Nappa leather
- Slightly smaller and chunkier
- Tri-stitching
- 'DCT' paddles

135 and M3 steering wheels are interchangeable though. In fact, all E8x and E9x (with the later model 'round' airbag) are interchangeable with each other and/or the M3.
The only steering wheel that has some complications is the 'LCI' steering wheel found on the LCI E92s and N55 135s. These LCI paddles require some modification before working on a pre-LCI car.

1M steering wheels are the same as (manual) M3 steering wheels. These are only suitable for manual cars. You could put one on an Auto car but you would lose your paddle functionality.
